Starting on August 7th, 2018, Bradley International Airport will be offering a new daily non-stop route by Southwest airlines, directly to St. Louis! That’s in addition to a number of new non-stop routes added in recent times by Spirit, United and Aer Lingus including Dublin, Myrtle Beach and San Francisco. This is an amazing move in the right direction for The Bradley International Airport, and destined to make a lot of travelers very happy. As recently suggested by Kevin Dillon, the executive director of the Connecticut Airport Authority, the Bradley Airport is in constant conversations with airlines about new routes with style, which include flights going to Austin, Milwaukee, Jacksonville, and even New Orleans.

  1. Bradley works so well because it was built to handle more people and flights then it had to handle in the last 10 years. Growth is good for options but will delays start to crop up due to more people?? It will be interesting to see if the airport is designed to fix some of the problems that busy airports have. By the way, the CondeNest list looks like publicity. Portland, OR has horrible passenger pickup/dropoff, and at Indy everything is spread out so you walk & walk & walk. Minneapolis is actually pretty nice from the inside as I have used it only to transfer.

  2. I always liked BDL because it was small and had direct flights to many locations. However I am not to excited about the delays and confusion that 20 years of construction will bring.

  3. Free and easily-accessed WiFi throughout the terminals (and in the planes while the doors are open) is a big plus–for whiling away the waits, for last minute email checks and messages, and for letting people know you’ve landed before you leave the plane.
